“Come Stand By Me”, paper construction, 16 x 20″, 2018, traveling with “Terra inFirma” through the Heller Museum, NYC
Starting with two digital prints of a fabric original, I rip the paper to create warp and weft, and reintegrate them as woven forms. This process of finger weaving expands my reflections on the opposites of tearing apart and adjoining; dividing and uniting; knowing and unknowing; material and immaterial; stasis and movement, and ultimately, the changing self-perception gained by experience.
